We have a comprehensive range of products to match both you and your customers’ needs. Depending on the planned marketing strategy, the nature of the asset, and your method of distribution, you may offer one or all of the following products:
This is the most common facility utilised. It is a ‘purchase credit’ facility that allows the cost of the goods to be spread over time.
Your customer confers all the normal rights of ownership (VAT Liability, capital allowances, etc.) excepting Title, which vests with the funder until completion of the agreement.
At completion your customer has nothing further to pay.
This is conceptually very similar to Hire Purchase, but differs mainly in terms of ownership and the resulting tax treatment.
A Finance Lease has all (or significantly all) of the cost of the goods spread over the primary lease term. The funder is the owner of the goods and your customer is effectively renting the goods. The customer cannot therefore claim capital allowances, but will offset the rentals against profits.
At the end of the primary period, if the customer wants to continue using the goods, they must pay continuing secondary rentals at a reduced rate (typically about one monthly rental per annum).
At any time, your customer can dispose of the goods (as the funder’s agent) and receive a refund of the sales proceeds. This means that whilst they never owned the asset, they will still receive any monies derived from the sale.
Subject to the nature of the goods, we may be able to offer an operating or ‘true’ lease product.
This is very similar to a fixed term lease, but we will build into the lease a pre-assessed disposal value. Your customers will therefore be funding the difference between the cost and disposal values and will benefit from a reduced rental.
